This was an interesting find on youtube.com shared by BlisfulBrotherV .  In these two videos Esther Hicks digs into the deepest understanding of manifesting abundance in one’s life with the question, “If this really works, why can’t I win the lottery?” Great question and to follow are great answers.

You Can’t Get There from Here Until You Feel that You Are There.

That last statement reminded me of another I’ve heard;

“We have to know that we know that we know we know.”

Alignment is the key.   Notice that Esther mentioned that we have to feel our way to understanding the experience. Once we can feel the experience we are seeking, it will appear in our lives. Feelings that we can not have the experience we are seeking will cause us to experience the lack, because we are creating the feeling of not having what we are seeking. By allowing that feeling to monopolize our thoughts, we allow those thoughts to monopolize our experiences.

Trying to operate outside of our “Level of Equivalence” is trying to operate outside what we believe can happen.  This is operating outside of Spirit.

Matthew 8:13

And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment.

Once we raise our “Level of Equivalence”, or the knowingness that we are rightfully able to inherit from God those experiences we desire, then we open the door to that experience.  This is when the old saying come in;

“Change your mind and you will change your life.”

What’s New About the Secret?

So many people have seen the movie the Secret and a lot of people are writing about it. Many people believe and understand, but many more are afraid of this Secret. They may not realize their fear, but they demonstrate it, and there are reasons for that. The biggest reason is ego.

Our ego is made up of our beliefs, what we remember as are experience of the past and what we belief about our surroundings and existence. We tend to defend our ego wholeheartedly because we identify with our experiences personally. What if I told you that everything you have experienced to this point has been a lie? What if I told you that you are living in a dream world and that the truth of your existence is just above and beneath your level of understanding?

Everything You Know is a Lie.

Before everyone accuses me for stealing from the movie “The Matrix”, this statement may speak more truth than you know. Scientist and theologians have asked the questions seeking the truth of existence since the first beings recognized their being. Quantum physics looks at a mathematical solution for an answer to what we truly are. They have found that everything is made up of energy. You may have heard of this before. Every particle of matter, or the stuff we think of as solid, is not solid at all. It is made up of vibrating atoms and subatomic particles. Looking even deeper into the subatomic particles we find that there is no solid thing, but energy vibrating at such a high frequency, that it appears solid to us who perceive it at a lower frequency.

Another movie that speaks to this is What the Bleep do We Know. This movie goes into a very scientific detail about how we think ourselves into all of our experiences. The Secret also mentions how even those things we don’t want to see, if we are thinking about them, will show up in our lives if we are constantly thinking about them. The Universe does not care if it is something good or bad, because those relative terms are creations of our own opinion.

Do I Have to Monitor All of My Thoughts?

So how do we keep the bad things from happening in our lives? How do we consistently create the life we want to see? The vibrations we create are created through our thoughts; do we have to control every thought? No we do not. What we control are our emotions. God communicates through emotion. Feelings are the conduit through which our thoughts our communicated. You can think of the thoughts as water and the emotion the gardening hose. The bigger the emotion, the bigger the gardening hose.

If you apply a great deal of emotion to a thought, it is transmitted that much more. The strength of your transmission is then reflected back to you with the same or greater strength.

Ecclesiastes 5:2

Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few.

So, it is by understanding your emotions in any given moment that you can control what you create. When someone cuts you off in traffic, do you yell and cuss at them, or do immediately forgive them? When your child disappoints you, do you express your anger immediately, or do you express your love for them? When your boss gives you more work knowing that you are already behind the gun, do you secretly despise them, or do you except that it is beyond their control as well? When your spouse or significant other reminds you of a behavior or task, do you inwardly lose patience with them, or are you thankful of the support? Monitoring your emotions will help you understand if you are creating a situation which serves you in any given moment.

How Can I Control My Emotions?

I have found that it is easier and easier to control emotions. When I was younger, I would get teased a lot. I thought every bully in my school or neighborhood just knew that I was the one to tease. I was a peaceful child and though I was bigger than children my age, I did not want to fight all of the time. But not wanting to fight was received as being weak to these children. I would get so angry that I could easily feel the physical manifestation of the angry energy. It started with a trembling in my stomach and moved on to nervousness throughout my body.

Later in life, I decided that I would learn to control this emotion. Whenever I felt the anger start to rise in my body, I would choose to suppress it. Now I understand the needs for balance. Suppression of emotion can cause other psychological issues, so being aware of that, I would express discomfort or discuss my feelings on the subject in a more peaceful receptive way. I chose not to express my anger or discomfort in a way that would diminish the other party.

I found that being aware of the physical manifestations of other emotions became easier and easier as I practiced this ability. I am able to recognize fear, stubbornness, happiness, joy, depression, and every other emotion I experience between love and hate. Once you get used to noticing, in whatever way that works for you, what it is that you are feeling, then you have the power of choice. Recognition of the emotion, then choosing whether or not it serves you, then actually acting on your choice will help you create in the moment your existence.

You may think that this is a lot of thinking, but you will be surprised at how fast that mind can process all of this information. The more you practice this weekly, daily, hourly, and moment to moment, the better and easier it will become.

So what does it All Mean?

What it all means is this; you control your existence and being through your own creative thoughts governed by the expression of your emotions. So be careful what you think, and how you feel about that thing you are thinking. If you want to see greater abundance in your life, then think your way to it with positive emotions. Focus on it with meditation and prayer with powerful love in your heart, and you will achieve your dreams. For those things you do not want to show up in your life, transform you negative emotions about that thing into positive, by desiring to see the opposite. So don’t think about what you don’t want to see, think about what you do want to see.

A Five Step Prayer for Abundance

When we pray, we include these five steps in our prayer.

Step 1: Recognition- recognition that there is One Life, and that Life is God.

Step 2: Unification-affirm that the same Spirit that God is, we are.

Step 3: Realization-realize the qualities or attributes of God which you want to embrace within yourself–to call forth in your own consciousness.

Step 4: Thanksgiving-An attitude of gratitude is essential to establishing a new intention in our lives.

Step 5: Release-let go and let God.

Example: God is All There Is.  He is omnipresent, omnipotent; He surrounds us, flows through us and lives within us.  I am made in the image of God and therefore a part of All That Is.  I accept the qualities of abundance, peace, harmony, and fulfillment.  These are the qualities and experiences which are of the Love of God.  I except them into my life and experience them now.  I am thankful and grateful for this relationship with God, my Father and Supplier of all my needs.  I am grateful that He hears prayer and answers.  I let the Spirit do Its perfect work, trusting faithfully that this prayer is answered. And so it is!  Amen.

In John 11, Jesus demonstrated that power of this prayer.  Here I have labled each step to each verse where he demonstrated the step in this prayer to create the miricle of raising Lazarus from the dead.

John 11

Step 1: Recognition 40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”

Step 4: Thanksgiving 41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

Step 2: Unification 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.”

Step 3: Realization 43 When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice,“Lazarus, come out.”

Step 5: Release44 The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”

Using this method will allow you to manifest abundnance in your life.  But when you pray, pray believing that your prayer will be answered.

Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

A modern way to meditate or pray for abundance is to use videos.  What the mind sees, it believes.  You cannot serparte fantisy from fact.  This is why when we speak negative words into our existance, that seed is planted and Spirit will try to make that happen for you because you are asking for that negative experience.  Reenvorce the positive by maintaining positive thoughts and discontinueing self depricating thoughts and statesment.  Here is an example provided by mindmovies.com and shared on youtube.com.

Day 31 Love Me and Receive Your Inheritance of Abundance Malachi 3:10-11

Today is the last day of this 31 day motivational series on creating abundance in your life. To wrap things up Malachi’s message is a strong reminder that if we trust in the relationship we have developed with God, then we shall experience a fruitful harvest of abundance.

Malachi 3:10-11
10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. 11 I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts.

I want to add to this message by sharing a video from Les Brown.   Les Brown is a top Motivational Speaker, Speech Coach, and Best-Selling Author, loving father and grandfather, whose passion is empowering youth and helping them have a larger vision for their lives. In this video he speaks to where he came from and how he empowered himself by becoming responsible for his success.

Lastly, now is the time for you to act on creating your abundance. Be aware of your intent in your thoughts and decisions. Be aware of your actions that do not serve you and make another choice. Love you, and all others around you and even those you do not know. Be a conscious part of a co-created world. Be a conscious loving part of All That Is, the Alpha and Omega, and relish in the harmony that is grateful giving to God and receiving from God.

Day 30 Due Diligence brings Abundance in your Life

The Bible communicates to us in many ways.  There are those days when I open my Bible and just the right verse shows up just in time.  Then something happens in my experience that pertains to what I read or meditated about.  Today, I would like to discuss due diligence in the accomplishment of our goal to manifest abundance in our lives.

Due diligence is just making sure that we do the work required of us to have that experience in our lives that we want to show up.  “Doing the work” for me means that I maintain a positive outlook and keep away from the negative influences that can attack my positive outlook.  What helps me do this is daily meditation and prayer.  Without having a daily regiment, I could easily allow feelings that do not serve me to creep in and overpower my positive mindset.

These negative thought seeds could bare poor fruit.  I am confident that daily prayer helps me plant good seed and thus prepares me for the sowing of peace this verse talks about.  When the harvest comes, through the work of my hands I will receive blessings.  Will Smith is quoted as saying that you should always be ready so that you do not have to get ready.

Zechariah 8:12-13

12 For there shall be a sowing of peace. The vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its produce, and the heavens shall give their dew. And I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. 13 And as you have been a byword of cursing among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Fear not, but let your hands be strong.”

So through this verse, I take away that we must be steadfast and unmovable in our practice of prayer and faith.  Through this practice, we attain liberty and blissfulness in our daily walk.  Maintaining the daily walk will allow us to keep our connection to the love God has to offer and remind us of the infinite power available to us.

Unwavering obedience to the true principals we learn will assure us spiritual survival.

Day 29 The main thing is keeping the main thing the main thing.

The Book of Haggai deals with a time of rebuilding Jerusalem in the time after Judah’s return from their Babylonian exile and captivity.  To read it or hear it, you can go to ESV Bible.  So I asked myself this morning, “How does that resonate with who I am and what I am doing now?”  Lena, my wife, reminded me of a quote from Covey;

“The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.”

I am in a time of rebuilding right now.  I am re-educating myself, taking a BSIT course at Kaplan University, after having twenty years experience in the same field.  I have a vision of my five year goal and know where I want to be when I reach the end of the journey.  Throughout the travel, though, I have to be aware of keeping the main thing the main thing.

I was reminded of how my dad, Harvest, was out of work once.  He had gone from being an executive at a large firm to being unemployed.  As he went through interview after interview he was told that he was “over qualified”.  He had his wife and kids to take care of, so he settled into managing a fast food restaurant.  I remember in those days, having a conversation with him about how unhappy he was.  He knew that his talents and skills were not being used and felt that he was wasting his time in a mundane position.

He moved on from that position to create a more positive experience for himself, but it is that moment of clarity that I remember most.  When he knew that he was not where he wanted to be and before he moved on to create something better for himself.  This is what Manifesting Abundance is all about.  Speaking to that moment in all our lives.

America shared one of those moments with the challenge to reach the moon.

The whole speech is a good read and is located on Wikisource.  What we choose to do when we choose to attain our dreams and provide for our children’s children, starts with a simple thought.  Staying focused on the goal in order to attain that goal is the hard part.

Day 28 Without Fear You Are Limitless!

If an opportunity seems too good to be true, then it very could be.  Patience is a virtue, and may be what is needed at this time.   On the Internet, in today’s market, fraud is on the rise. There are plenty of get rich quick scams out there which prey on the fearful.  In today’s economical downturn, many are out of work and are looking for a way to replace lost wages.  Many are trying their hand in online business for the first time.

So they come across an ad with the promise of seven digit incomes in days or weeks.  They promise that you can make the money will sitting in your pajamas at home.  I’ve seen a scam where it was promised that all you had to do was cash checks and keep a portion of the money before you Fed Exed a money order to a P. O. box.  These easy promises sound like promises made to Jesus.

Matthew 4:8-11

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,

“‘You shall worship the Lord your God

and him only shall you serve.’”

11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

We have to be careful not to fall for the scam.  There are websites out there to help us.  Here are just a few;

Just as this happens on the Internet, it also happens in life away from the computer.  It comes in many forms and even those forms that you may not recognize.  What about settling for a low income position when you know you are more talented, but are afraid that bills will not be paid?  What about settling for an unhealthy relationship when you know you deserve more, but are afraid to be alone?  Have you ever felt that you needed to confront a friend about self deprecating behavior, but felt that they would hate you for it?

Hast is just another form of fear.  Satan is the opposite of God, so the opposite of love.  Love is the opposite of fear and overcomes fear.  You determine the outcome of your situation by letting go and letting God.  Always be ready to do battle with Satan, or fear.

Day 27 Live a Life Without Fear in Severe Tests of Affliction

2009 August 9

2 Corinthians 8:2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.

My father taught me from the teachings of Sidarthur Gautama and Nichiren Daishonin among other things.  He told me that when I experience times of need, it is a good opportunity to find a way to give back.  I believe that this allows people to stand above their problems and let go of that feeling of oppression and lack if they can find something to give.  The ability to give puts one in the mindset of having.  If you have something to give, you can appreciate that you do and this can mask the feeling of being without.

Another thing my father teaches and something that is correlated in many other teachings, is that sometimes we can be blind to the lesson we experience when we are experiencing lack of a specific thing.  A “test of affliction” could be a situation where God is getting you ready for the grander experience.  Before you are mentally ready to experience that grander thing, you must first let go of that fear or understanding that is keeping you from that grander experience.

I keep a positive mindset throughout my afflictions.  I look at what I am experiencing and search for the lesson.  When I find the thing that I fear I ask Spirit to remove the fear from my experience.  I do this so that I can remove the thing blocking me from the promise of a grander experience.

You can probably notice through this journey together that I put a lot of focus on understanding one’s fear.  This is because God is Love and fear is the opposite of Love.  Your experience of abundance is in direct relation to how much fear you allow in your life.  If you live without fear, you experience more love and therefore experience more abundance in your life.

This is how Practitioners of Science of Mind and Prayer Warriors achieve success in their practice.  They do not pray about the illness or affliction.  They pray about what they want to see show up in the experience.  If someone is sick, they do not focus on the illness, but focus on the wholeness of the person in question.  They believe the wholeness is there, pure and complete.  Addressing an illness would only put energy into it and validate its presence.   Focus on wholeness and well being validates the experience of wellbeing.

Day 26 Open yourself to all possibilities and close no doors.

All things are possible with God. We are great beings with self determination and choice.  When we reach outside ourselves and connect to everything around us, we are connected with everyone else as well.  Being so connected is like playing a game of tug of war.  If you are on the one side by yourself and on the other side are all of your fears, challenges and wicked people and wicked concepts, you may fall in to the pit of mud, or Hell, between you.  When you call on God and connect with all that is around you, you now have more power on your side of the tug of war, and all your enemies will be pulled into the pit.

Sometimes, we don’t let our ego go enough to realize that we do need the help if we are going to be successful.  Our ego says that we are good enough people, we are smart enough and we are special enough.  Those being true statements, your neighbor standing next to you is the same.  You enemy standing against you can be the same in strength, power, intelligent and ego.  It is when we add Spirit to the equation that we can overcome.

What God has to offer is beyond what we can conceive. It is all that we can imagine and even more.  Connecting to All That Is includes connecting to the collective consciousness, and the collective knowledge of all time.  We can release blockages, and allow the energy of knowledge, wisdom and creativity to flow through us.  We can release our desired way and allow “God’s kingdom come”.  This is when we focus on the WHAT and not the HOW.  We do not have all the answers, but they can come from the Infinite Being of God.

“Father, hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come.

Luke 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls.

Luke 12:32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.

Luke 22:30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

What can you think of that is impossible for you to accomplish?  Pray with the realization that there is a Power greater than yourself that can help you achieve this goal.  Pray knowing that this Power can see beyond what you can see, can hear beyond what you can hear, and has knowledge beyond what you know.  Pray knowing that there is no limitation to this source of Power, and let go of how you want your prayer answered.  Know that it is this Power’s pleasure to give you your desires.

Open yourself to all possibilities and close no doors.

Day 25 Barack Obama and Psalm 82:4

“Psalm 82:4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

When I read this verse, I am connected with the oppression of the last generation. The glass ceilings that women hit and the niches that minorities feel that they were forced into. Then I see our new President Barak Obama on a commercial about fatherhood and I’m reminded that he has proven that the wicked are not as strong as those who have that connection with God.

Sure, we could talk about how it’s been 500 years of racism, how sexism may have always existed, and how it’s great that Barack Obama was able to battle through the stumbling blocks, withstand the continuing threats to his life and his entire body of nay saying peers, but I want to talk about how he lived through it. I believe he has a strong understanding of how the universe works, and I believe he prays. I believe Michelle and he must pray together, and that’s what makes the Obama’s union strong. Barack has got a power backing him that is stronger than the wicked people.

This is not to say that he was weak before he ran for office, but throughout his life, being a bi-racial child, I’m sure he experienced the oppression of his time. He was able to make choices and beat down the demons of oppression to strengthen his back bone and move his live in the direction that he wanted to go.

We can’t let those demons we have overcome us.  Racism, sexism, reverse racism, ageism and other reason people fell to “love one another” cannot withstand the power of a connected prayer with God.  No matter what our pass was, it is gone now, so there is no since in hanging on to hate or shame. No matter what we fear of our future, it is not here now, and we cannot know the future, so there is no since in fearing it. The only moment in life that matters is right now.

Day 24 Don’t build wealth to hold on to it, build it to let it go.

I was surprised by what I found today. I went out on the internet to find some stories about people who were talking about giving in a special way, but I did not know that I would find such a beautiful story as this.

The is a web site called Bolder Giving that has these stories of people who are willing to give of their abundance, some of them gave completely. I will let the video speak for itself.

Luke 12:33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Luke 18:22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

There are miracles being performed right now by ordinary folk. The point today is, don’t build wealth to hold on to it, build it to let it go.

Day 23 When you achieve your abundance, what will you do for the world’s needy?

Day 23: Pray Prov. 14:21; Eph. 4:28; Jas. 2:15,16; 1 John 3:17.

In today’s meditation I consider the needy.  This is also a part of the Unification step in Spiritual Mind Treatments and prayer.  As we discussed, God is the entire whole of existence.  That means you and I are a part of All That Is God.  This means that the beggar on the street is also a part of God.  The children starving from the slums of America to the deserts of Africa are all a part of who we are together.

Wealth is accessible to all of us, including them.  It is a resource that we all can share.  If those who achieve abundance remember that they also play a part in the co-creation of existence and if we all remember that we are truly One.

“Proverbs 14:21 Whoever despises his neighbor is a sinner,but blessed is he who is generous to the poor.”

In a co-created world that we are growing toward there is no longer hunger.  The rich share with the needy and the needy are no longer in need of food and shelter.  Once we claim the end of world hunger, we can then move the focus to education, development of underdeveloped countries, creating more harmony with the planet so that we can have renewable resources available for multiple needs.  We can develop new job markets to fulfill an honest future for earth’s children.

“Ephesians 4:28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.”

So what can you as an individual do for world hunger?  What can you as an individual do for all the needy out there in the world?

James 2:15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food,16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?

1 John 3:17 But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?

When you achieve your abundance, what will you do for the world’s needy?

Day 22 Recognition, Unification and Realization

Day 22: Pray 1 Sam. 2:7; Ps. 69:33; Rev. 2:9

Today’s meditation is about recognition, unification and realization. These are the first three steps of what is known as a Spiritual Mind Treatment. The Spiritual Mind Treatment is a way to order a prayer for the most successful manifestation to demonstrate in your life. The first step is to recognize that there is One True God who encompasses All That Is. We call Him the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. Others have other names, but He is known by many names.

“We begin every Spiritual Mind Treatment with Recognition that there is One Life, and that Life is God. You may call God by any other name that makes It clear and personal to you, such as: Spirit, Universe, Allah, Buddha, Infinite Mind, the One, the Force, Light, or any other term that feels real to you.”

“1 Samuel 2:7 The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low and he exalts.”

A way to understand the second step, Unification, is that one is realizing that they are a child of God. God is in everything, including us. We are made in the image of God and therefore are individual representations of that creation. We are all His people, His children.

“In the Unification step of Spiritual Mind Treatment, we affirm that the same Spirit that God is, we are. We are OF God — Divine emanations. Since God is all there is, there can be nothing outside of God, and no one separate from God. And so we realize and declare our Oneness as spiritual beings.”

“Psalm 69:33 For the Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.”

So, if God is All That Is, and we are a part of that, then there may be a part of Him that we want to show up in our lives. We can ask for that part to be expressed in our lives and be confident that it will show up, because we are apart of All Things. If we are a part of All Things, then All Things are achievable in direct relationship to our connection to All That Is, or God.

“… you want to Realize the qualities or attributes of God which you want to embrace within yourself–to call forth in your own consciousness. These are the Divine qualities inherent within you which want to become more conscious OF.

“Revelation 2:9 “‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.”

In conclusion, God, the Alpha and the Omega, is All That Is. He flows through us, surrounds us and created us. Because of His omnipresence, God lives inside of us. Because God created us in His own image, there are creative aspects we inherited from Him. We can create our existence through the understanding that we can experience what part of existence we choose to experience.

Day 21 Are you afraid of what will happen when you achieve abundance?

Day 21: Pray Eccles. 5:10,13; Mt. 6:24; Luke 16:13.

What is keeping you from your wealth?  What is keeping you from receiving what you deserve and are entitled to?  Are you afraid of what will happen when you achieve abundance?  Do you not have a vision for what you will use the wealth for?  Are trying to get the money for the money’s sake, or are you just trying to die with the most toys?

Ecclesiastes 5:10 He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.

Ecclesiastes 5:13 There is a grievous evil that I have seen under the sun: riches were kept by their owner to his hurt,

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. [1]

All of these questions shave to be answered no matter where you are on your journey.  You could have riches but achieved the level you are without a clear answer.  This will stunt your growth.  You may have not achieved your goal to this point.  You may experience the fear of success.  Even fear of failure can keep you from reaching your goals.  Separate yourself from fear, do not be vain in your attempt to acquire abundance, and have a focus on providing for your families future without vanity to insure that you are not serving mammon.

If you had 10 million dollars right now what would you do with it?  What about $10 billion?

Day 20 What is in your Heart of Hearts When you Pray for Abundance?

Day 20: Pray Prov. 23:4; Eccles. 4:8. Mark11:24

When we pray for a thing and have faith that it is done, do we go back and pray for it again and again?  What does this say about our faith?  There are two schools of thought regarding this.  Some say that you should pray until you see an answer.  They say that this helps you stay focused and helps your vision remain clear.  IF you write down your prayer and consider your thoughts as to what you want to see show up in your life, this could also add to that clarity.

This why some use tools like a prayer board or board of intention.  They get a poster board and cut out magazine articles with pictures of what they want to show up.  The pictures can represent an article, like a nice car or house, or a concept, like world peace or perfect health.  They look at these boards as they pray the Prayer of Jabez, or the Lord ’s Prayer, or some other prayer that works for them.  Many say that this has helped them attract abundance.

Others believe that you only have to pray once, clearly and with a vision of what you want to show up in your mind.  This is supported by Mark 11:24:

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

I believe the point in both cases is to be clear about what you want and to keep yourself from second guessing.  If you pray for a thing, then go back and change your request, then go back and change it again, Spirit will try to accomplish your request, but a mind that is not clear is not communicating clearly with Spirit.  What you put out there will come back to you.  You cannot go into a field and plant seeds for one thing, then go back to the same field and plant for something else and expect to receive a good harvest.  Clarity and focus allows for the system of sending out your thoughts and allowing the time or experiences to occur that need to happen in order for your prayer to be answered.

Matthew 6:25-34

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.  34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Also be aware of your intent when you hope to manifest abundance in your life.  What feelings are attached to the acquirement of wealth?  Is it greed, is it so that you can live the “good” life?

Proverbs 23:4

Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist.

Ecclesiastes 4:8

one person who has no other, either son or brother, yet there is no end to all his toil, and his eyes are never satisfied with riches, so that he never asks, “For whom am I toiling and depriving myself of pleasure?” This also is vanity and an unhappy business.

We must be careful about vanity as we seek to create abundance in our lives.  Taking care of our family for the generations to come as not a vain thing, but one that is accomplished in love.  Spirit knows your heart when you commune with it.  This is not something that you can lie about.  Communing with God is about the emotions involved in the experience.  So when you pray in fear, you attract what you fear.  When you walk through your life and think that you don’t want something to happen and fret over whether or not it will happen, you attract what you think to your experience.

Prayer in peace, calm settings allow for focus, clarity, and a mind that is clean from fear and unified in vision.

Day 19 The Secret to Abundance According to Amos

Day 19: Pray Amos 2:6, 4:1, 8:4-6

Amos 2:6

Thus says the Lord:
“For three transgressions of Israel,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because they sell the righteous for silver,
and the needy for a pair of sandals—

Amos 4:1

“Hear this word, you cows of Bashan,
who are on the mountain of Samaria,
who oppress the poor, who crush the needy,
who say to your husbands, ‘Bring, that we may drink!’

Amos 8:4

Hear this, you who trample on the needy
and bring the poor of the land to an end,
5 saying, “When will the new moon be over,
that we may sell grain?
And the Sabbath,
that we may offer wheat for sale,
that we may make the ephah small and the shekel [1] great
and deal deceitfully with false balances,
6 that we may buy the poor for silver
and the needy for a pair of sandals
and sell the chaff of the wheat?”

I had to study up on Amos to understand his place in history.  This helped to understand his message.  Here is some information I received from The Church of God Daily Bible Study.  A great site for studying history and getting little known biblical facts.

Amos

Amos was one of the so-called “minor prophets” of The Bible (, not because their ministries were somehow less important, but because their written accounts in the Scriptures are much shorter than the “major prophets” (IsaiahEzekielDaniel and Jeremiah).

Amos was a shepherd from Tekoa, a town in Judea between Bethlehem and Hebron. In describing his calling, he said, “I am no prophet, nor a prophet’s son; but I am a herdsman, and a dresser of sycamore trees, and The Lord took me from following the flock, and The Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’” (Amos 7:14-15 RSV)

Amos was a prophet of the southern kingdom of Judah with a prophetic message that moreover included the northern kingdom of Israel (see Jews At War With Israel). He was active during the reigns of King Uzziah of Judah and King Jeroboam II of Israel (see Kings of Israel and Judah), around the same time as the prophets Isaiah and Hosea.

Under Jeroboam II the kingdom of Israel reached its peak of power and wealth, but as has always been the case with great nations and empires through human history (see also Daniel’s Statue), all of whom eventually were either conquered by foreign invaders (e.g. Nazi Germany during the Second World War), or collapsed into chaos from within (e.g. the Soviet Union, a former world “superpower”), their human-centered arrogant pride and self-perceived greatness that ignored the God that made it all possible, made them a very violent, idolatrous and immoral society, to which God said, “I abhor the pride of Jacob, and hate his strongholds; and I will deliver up the city and all that is in it.” (Amos 6:8 RSV)

After reading through the study of Amos and reading the book of Amos this morning I am reminded of we forget to honor God once we receive the inheritance of abundance.  In doing so, we can open ourselves up to leaving behind morals and life strategies that worked for us.  Those who allow this to happen become outsiders.  They resonate at a different frequency and no longer are attractive to those who resonate, and transmit energy of peace, harmony, and a connection to All That Is.

In Day 18 we talked about how people outside of yourself can only impact you and your abundance to the degree that you allow.  Looking out into the Global Economy over the last year, we can see how men of affluence have impacted many lives.  Still there are plenty of people I have spoken with who were not impacted at all by the current recession.  In fact, some have increased their income in equitable ways.  The growth of small business ownership in this time is an indication that people are taking control of their destinies, and leaving behind the recent desire for a large stable company.  Many, like me, have made a leap of faith and moved on trusting in the power of prayer and the existence of a real world that exists beneath and above or five senses.

So do not allow the fear the news media is selling to impact your resolve.  You do not operate in fear.  Your mind is clear and your goal attainable.  Nothing can stop you because nothing is impossible for you to achieve.  Even grander than the grandest nation, you have on your side the King of Kings.

Day 18 Prov. 22:16 and Daniel 6 and 7 Protecting your Abundance for the Lion’s Den

Day 18: Pray Prov. 22:16. Read Dan. 6, 7.

Proverbs 22:16 Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth, or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.

Daniel 6 tells the story of Daniel and the Lion’s den.  In it, some peers of his sought to discredit him and developed a plan to put him between his king and his God.  We remember that Daniel was not eaten by the lions and his king, seeing how great a deliverer God is, created a law that stated that everyone in the world is commanded to honor the Dos of Daniel.

Daniel 7 is more esoteric.  It speaks about a vision that Daniel had in the form of four beasts.  These beasts represented kings with the fourth being the most terrible of all the kings before him.  In the vision, this fourth king gains power of all things for a time, but loses his power in the end because of his destructive nature.

Wealth is not something that others can keep you from.  It is only what is within you that will decide whether you have it or not.  You create your existence through your creative power inherited from being created in the image of God.  This is not to say the people are gods, just that we have inherited that creative ability.

With that creative ability, comes the ability to create negative things in your life.  In everyone’s mind, there are those “tapes” that play in the back of minds.  Things that say that we are not good enough, and that for this reason or that reason, I am not worthy of receiving this gift or that miracle.  We forget that everything is possible with God.

We forget that with the power of God through a close walk with Him, no one can victimize us.  There are some who will try, and there may even be setbacks, but no one can overcome the Alpha and the Omega, All That Is, when it comes to answering prayer, but there is a catch.

A powerful component to achieving abundance is the faith that one has in the ability to do so.  If your faith wavers, and you lose that connection with God, then fear invites others to devourers you.  Otherwise, you are protected by the flow of energy that you attract to yourself.  When you are focused on the positive achievement of a goal and only allow that energy into your circle, you will achieve that goal.  When you start to allow fear to corrupt what you are attracting, you corrupt your changes of positive achievement.

What are you afraid of?  How does that fear so up in your life?  How can you push that fear away and remain faithful and focused on your goal?

Day 17 How can you Manifest Abundance if You Can’t Serve God and Mammon?

Day 17: Pray Prov. 13:22; Eccles. 2:26

“Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.”

When I read this verse today, it occurred to me that I remember another verse that said the opposite of this one. So I studied a little deeper.

Matthew 23 And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” 26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” … 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

In my earlier studies I thought this meant that I could not be a good man if I wanted to be rich. We may remember another verse;

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.[1]

I thought I should be meek, humble and poor. Growing up in the ghetto for a large part of my life, it seems to be the right place for good people. Only those who would not receive the gifts of God were the horribly rich. It made it okay to be middle class as opposed to the elite upper class.

Matthew 5:5
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

But that is not what Spirit wants for us. God loves us and wants us to have joy in our lives. He wants us to be able to provide for our children and our children’s children. He wants us to be able to seek him and not live a life of suffering and lack.

“Ecclesiastes 2:26 For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.”

I think it is easy to accept that God loves you no matter how much money you have. And it’s easy to say that the rich are evil and had to make a deal with the devil to get where they are in life. It is easy to look outside and accept the status quos because work is hard. Being able to generate generational wealth is hard. And people can do it without God. Seeking to have a relationship with God and seeking to have wealth can only be done if we are willing to accept that it is okay to be rich. You don’t have to be meek. God wants us to experience happiness and joy. Money is not the happiness and joy; it is simply a tool that had its uses. It allows us to be fruitful in society, to plant good seed and harvest the Spiritual wealth of creation.

Day 16:Proverbs Prayers -Diligent Spiritual Work Brings Abundance

Day 16: Pray Prov. 10:4, 12:24, 14:23.

Prov. 10:4 A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

Prov. 12:24 The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor.

Prov. —14:23 In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.

These statements from proverbs are pretty straight forward and are reminiscent of an earlier article, Day 8 Be About IT. Proverbs 14:23 was discussed then as well. The other two go into more detail. The fact that Proverbs has this many items discussing work is an indication that the society which introduced Proverbs to creation must have experienced the slothful and slack hands and wanted to bring this to an end by education. You have to do the work.

In spiritual terms, we can relate this to doing our spiritual work. Our spiritual work being the actions you must practice in order to bring about that which you envision your life to be. Different religions or walks of life demonstrate a practice of prayer which involves being in prayer more than three times a day. In Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism, one prays morning, noon and night. There is a similar practice in Hinduism and Islam. There are fundamentalist Christians who pray anytime in their lives that they feel moved to prayer. Other New Thought and metaphysical thinkers enjoy practicing Walking Meditation.

The point is to do the work to the degree that one is able to have the since of connection and awareness of how Spirit is moving and working in their lives. This connection opens one’s eyes to the Truth that is working out there that is below and above what we see with our physical eyes. What we see with our spiritual eyes is grander, and miraculous.

When we do the work properly, we are able to see the connections and the flow of synchronicity. We have the knowing that things do not happen by accident. We have the peace with that knowing and an ability to allow things to be as they are. An ability to accept things just the way they are and just the way they are not.

People and occurrences come in to our circle of awareness because they are being sent there to accomplish a goal. This goal can be to introduce us to information, or for us to have an experience which changes our level of knowledge or wisdom. The connection can be so profound that it changes everything that happens after it, or you could be an instrument for change in someone else’s life.

I invite all to explore what is happening right now in your life. In this very moment, you are experiencing a connection that will change what happens moving forward. It is happening right now, it has been happening all along, and it will happen again and again. What will you do with that connection? Can you hear Spirit speaking to you through that connection? Will you allow Spirit to flow through you? Can you act as a vessel and be used by Spirit? Can you use this connection to create something useful? Is there something out there that Spirit wants you to see?

Do the work, and these questions become answers.

Have you ever had moment in your life when things just seemed to flow easily without explaination?

Day 15: Pray Prov. 8:18,21. New experiences, New information, New growth, New wisdom.

Day 15: Pray Prov. 8:18,21.

“Wealth is a reward for wisdom. Ask God for a new dimension of power.”

Prov. 8:18,21

“18 Riches and honor are with me,

enduring wealth and righteousness.

19 My fruit is better than gold, even fine gold,

and my yield than choice silver.

20 I walk in the way of righteousness,

in the paths of justice,

21 granting an inheritance to those who love me,

and filling their treasuries.”

I am happy to have gained wisdom through study, observation and experience.  I look forward to the wisdom yet to develop.  This is different than knowledge.  Wisdom is itself a manifestation of abundance.  Some fell to take advantage of all that is available in the attainment of wisdom.

There are a vast amount of resources on the subject of Universal Law and how to best develop one’s relationship with God.  Some devourer the latest text as soon as they hear of it, others rely on text that have come down through the ages.

I have chosen to use Biblical Verses to discuss manifesting abundance because I am aware that the knowledge is there.  I have learned it in my studies of Universal Law.  However there are other newer texts which teach using regular English, or your language of choice.  Some find it comforting to go back to the Old Texts to remember something learned or learn something new.

We know that “there is no new thing under the sun.”  So the new texts are another way of explaining the same lessons we have been introduced to through Biblical lessons, through a study of the Liturgy “The Lotus Sutra”, through the study of the Karan, or the study of any and all of the other Secret Texts of all of existence.

I invite all to seek outside your comfort zone.  Realize the God Is All That Is.  That all text created pointed toward the understanding of man’s relationship with the Creator of All Things are equally relevant.  When you study all these other texts, you find that there is a level of corroboration.  Then you find the parts of the text that harmonize with your own beliefs, or that show you a different way of looking at the same question.  In this way, you open yourself up to new experiences, new information, and new growth, which bring you new wisdom.
